WELCOME TO LIMARTINE

The kennel name Limartine was registered in 1989, by Lisa, who at the time was showing Bichon Frise with the help of her mum Chris.

Lisa and Chris first started showing Bichon Frise in 1982. Australian Silky Terriers (Silkys) didn't join the kennel until after Ailsa (Sharhad Allora) arrived in 1995 and from her; the Limartine Kennel began to grow. All of the successful dogs carrying the Limartine affix have Ailsa in their pedigree. The Limartine kennel have had considerable help from Norma and Tom Baugh (Amron Silkys, Texas, USA) and hope to continue to breed healthy, sound and correct silkys.

In 2003 Kevin joined the team. As a trained photographer, Kevin's eye has helped in the decisions of choosing the best possible dogs for our breeding and showing team.

All our adults are vet checked before any breeding takes place. This is to ensure that the dogs are at their healthiest.
All our puppies are house reared and are integrated with the rest of our dogs at an early age. Our puppies are also raised along side our Giant and Miniature Schnauzers to let them encounter all the experiences possible before they go to their new homes.
Our young son, Leon also helps out giving our puppies the experience of young children.

We recommend that before you consider buying a puppy, that you read as much as you can about the breed and preferably come and visit first to see if the breed is right for you.
